The L&A Economic Development Department brings together professionals from the business community to recognize the essential contribution business makes to our economy. Our team will work with you to answer your site location questions.

- Promote L&A as a preferred tourism destination; and
- Foster an environment suitable for the growth of existing businesses.
For Business Investors
The Economic Development Department will assign a staff person as your project leader and contact person. We can:
- Develop specialized listings of suitable land and/or buildings for sale/lease;
- Assist in procuring required services;
- Act as a municipal liaison for site plan control, zoning matters, and other issues;
- Quantify labour, utility, tax, and other costs;
- Assist in collecting data for market research; and
- Answer any other questions you may have.
For Tourism
We promote L&A as a preferred tourism destination by:
- Assisting new tourism-based businesses (see "Business Investors" above);
- Assisting with the growth of existing tourism businesses; and
- Working with existing tourism organizations to develop tourism experiences and packages.
For Existing Businesses
We want to ensure the viability and growth of existing businesses. Some of the initiatives we undertake to assist our corporate community include:
- Procuring local suppliers for outside business;
- Providing referrals to appropriate government assistance;
- Assisting with market research;
- Providing manufacturing assistance and technology development; and
